Senior Advocacy Project

Compassionate CLSMF staff members deal with senior citizens’ concerns such as living wills, financial scams, health care, and durable powers of attorney.

In many places, our Senior Abuse Advocates help provide information, referral, legal advice and/or representation.

In Flagler, Putnam, and Volusia counties, call Erica Simpson; Senior Advocate at (386) 255-6573 x 2414 or (800) 363-2357 x 2414

In Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter counties, call Cleve Butler; Senior Advocate at (352) 629-0105 x 2915 or (866) 428-0105 x2915

We also have a Family Caregiver project. Free Legal Help is available if you are a:

FAMILY CAREGIVER who takes care of finances and daily living activities for a person who is 55 or older

GRANDPARENT, LEGAL GUARDIAN or ADULT RELATIVE who lives with and is the primary caregiver of a child who is 18 or younger

Living in a coastal state, we are faced with certain risks for natural disasters and other emergencies for which we must always be prepared. While we hope for the best at all times, it would be irresponsible not to have a disaster plan for when those emergencies do occur. Please take a look at the 2011 Disaster Preparedness Guide For Elders to help prepare you and your home.
